Natty Bo is a globally renowned DJ, MC, singer, dancer, lyricist, and artist. With over 30 years’ experience under his belt, his skills as a selector are second to none. As a dancer himself, Natty knows what works and is guaranteed to keep the dancefloor jumping.

Record collector

Natty grew up in Thamesmead and started digging music at a young age. Over the decades, he has built up a much-envied collection of original 45s, 78s, and LPs.

Inside his record boxes, you will find an impressive array of genres: jump blues, swing, bebop, Latin jazz, Township jive, gospel, soul, funk, ska, mento, rocksteady, reggae, calypso, son, mambo, cumbia, and other vintage tropical rhythms.

Ska Cubano

Already well-known as a DJ, Natty became even more famous as a singer in the 2000s as bandleader of Ska Cubano – a group that won international critical acclaim.

Three digital albums resulted from this remarkable Latin-Jamaican fusion project: Ska Cubano, ¡Ay Caramba!, and Mambo Ska.

Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues

As well as regularly performing with his current bands, Top Cats and Natty Congeroo & The Flames Of Rhythm, Natty Bo is a resident DJ at Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues in Soho. Famous for being London’s longest-running weekly club night (and still going strong), this Thursday night blues dance run by Gaz Mayall has been taking place since 1980.

Natty also spins records on Gaz’s sound system at Notting Hill Carnival and continues to be in great demand around the world as a guest DJ.
