Right On!
Jean-Paul Séculaire
Jean-Paul Séculaire is the “musical visionary” behind Right On! He is the club's host, resident DJ and promoter.
Born in London to a family of DJs and dancers, Jean-Paul grew up listening to old-school Black music from a young age. Now a highly regarded DJ and record collector himself, his speciality is across-the-board vintage sounds played on vinyl and shellac: from 30s rhythm & blues and swing through to 70s funk, reggae and salsa, alongside some more contemporary releases.
Jean-Paul began DJing in 2001 and started Right On! in October 2002. He gained recognition as a frequent guest DJ at the popular Lady Luck club from its inception at Secrets in Euston and has since been in demand across the UK and Italy.
Most of London's other premier vintage club nights have invited Jean-Paul to DJ, and he has supported legendary artists such as Prince Buster (@ Bournemouth Opera House), John Holt (@ The Jazz Cafe) and Toots & The Maytals (@ Koko). Other notable bookings include Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, The Scala, The 100 Club and The Royal Festival Hall.

In addition to his DJing, Jean-Paul is a talented dancer. He can be seen dancing the ska in the BBC's “The Long Firm” and was one of the swing dancers in a 2010 episode of ITV's “Foyle's War”.
Jean-Paul is also well-known for blogging about London's nightlife. In 2001 he started an online London Dossier — the first website of its kind. This went on to become a definitive guide to the city's coolest vintage clubs, bars, shops, cinema, and more.
